AE. Under supervision achieve the assigned sales quota consistent with the expectations of a fully seasoned and experienced sales engineer in the assigned product category and or sales area. With some mentoring, has the responsibility to manage and coordinate the sales effort within the customer base assigned and to grow Eaton's overall business. Essential responsibilities include: o Develop a proven record of achieving assigned sales quota o Manage all aspects of the relationship with assigned contractors / OEM's / Consultants within the assigned area of responsibility o Call on consultants regularly to promote specification of Eaton brand name in projects. o Develop and implement sales plans o Provide technical assistance to assigned customer base as needed o Be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitor activities and communicate such information to sales management and product managers o Maintain a cooperative and credible working relationship with other company personnel to assure customer satisfaction o Manage expense allowances and submit expense reports in a timely manner o Prepare and present bids and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines, and use sound business judgment to enhance margins o Support total quality effort by: o providing timely and accurate information for order entry o elevating quality issues to attention of management o ensure that accurate information flows to and from customers o Implement new product programs as needed in coordination with marketing and product line o Collect, analyze and utilize market intelligence data on competitive products, customer needs, preferences and buying habits o Provide necessary reports and surveys as requested by Country Manager in a timely manner
